Privacy policy

Miqāt may handle account details, prayer location, timezone, calculation settings, custom events, synchronization settings, and messages you send for support. We may also keep limited technical and security logs to find errors, keep the service reliable, and prevent abuse. We collect only what is needed for the service.

We use information to provide Miqāt, save your choices, operate features you request, send account messages, answer support questions, fix problems, and protect the service. We do not sell personal information or use it for third-party advertising. We share only what a provider needs to complete a task for Miqāt. Providers may help with hosting, email, authentication, integrations, or product analytics.

We use PostHog's EU Cloud to understand visits, interactions, performance, and errors so we can improve Miqāt. We do not capture form values, prayer locations, calendar content, or authentication secrets in custom analytics events, and supported browser Do Not Track signals are honored. Privacy-masked session replay may run: every form input is masked, selected sensitive text is hidden, and console logs are not recorded.

Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. We do not sell Google user data, use it for ads, or let a person read it unless you ask us to help, it is needed for security, or the law requires it.

We use safeguards that fit the information Miqāt handles. Sensitive credentials are encrypted when stored, and access is limited to the account and server work needed to run the service. We keep information while it is needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve problems, or protect the service. No online service can promise perfect security.

You may update your account, disconnect Google Calendar, revoke permissions, or delete your account when those controls are available. Miqāt's Data deletion page explains what account deletion removes and what remains in Google Calendar.

Miqāt keeps the account, prayer location, timezone, calculation, event, plan, and synchronization information needed to provide its prayer-calendar service. Its Google Calendar connection uses the limited calendar.app.created permission. It manages only the dedicated calendar it creates and does not read or change events in existing calendars. The connection stores the Google account, dedicated calendar ID, event mappings, granted permission, and encrypted OAuth credentials. Deleting the account removes these records but not events already stored by Google. Miqāt currently relies on Cloudflare, Google Calendar, AlAdhan, Open-Meteo, and BigDataCloud to provide its features.

Miqāt is not directed to children under 13. If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we will update the date here and explain the change in the affected service when appropriate.
